I AM NOT ALONE

I haven't written a new post in several weeks. Life has happened, and I was dealing with so many different things. Does that ever happen to you?

There is a song that I must have heard for the first time over twenty years ago, and the chorus has always stuck with me. As I was struggling getting through these last few weeks I found myself singing through the chorus over and over again. Some might consider this song more appropriate to Christmas time, but God uses this chorus in my life when I'm struggling and need a reminder that God is with me, and nothing can separate me from Him and His love. I am not lost and forgotten here.

Immanuel

A sign shall be given A virgin shall conceive
A human body bearing undiminished deity
The glory of the nations A light for all to see
And hope for all who will embrace his warm reality

Immanuel, Our God is with us
And if God is with us
Who could stand against us
Our God is with us, Immanuel

For all those who live in the shadow of death
The glorious light has dawned
For all those who stumble in the darkness
Behold your light has come

So what will be your answer Oh will you hear the call
Of Him who did not spare His Son but gave Him for us all
On earth there is no power There is no depth or height
That could ever separate us from the love of God in Christ

After listening to this song again God brought these verses to mind, and I want to share them with you.

"Whither shall I go from thy spirit? or whither shall I flee from thy presence? If I ascend up into heaven, thou art there: if I make my bed in hell, behold, thou art there. If I take the wings of the morning, and dwell in the uttermost parts of the sea Even there shall thy hand lead me, and thy right hand shall hold me." Psalm 139:7-10

"For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38-39

Remember no matter what is going on in your life, God is with you, and He loves you.
