It's Been a Year!

 

It's been a year since my release. A year that has flown by now that I look back, but what a year it has been! There have been many discouraging events during this past year; events that could have easily deterred me from continuing to serve the Lord. With the Lord's help and the encouragement of fellow believers I've drawn closer to the Lord through these hard times. 

I'm so thankful my God is true and faithful. He never changes, and His Word never changes. These truths have been what I've clung to through the difficult moments. 

God has been so good to me this past year. I've had a full-time job almost as soon as I was released, God has provided all my needs and more, my little car continues running like a champ even though I've put over 20,000 miles on it, my husband is doing well, God has kept me in good health, and I could go on. I stand in God's promise in Romans 8:28 & 29, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose. For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren."

I am so thankful for God, for my parents, for my pastor and his family, for my church family, for those who have stuck by my side the past four years (you know who you are), and for the many new friends God has brought into my life this year. I can truly say, "I am so blessed!"

So now onto my second year... I don't know what this year holds, but I'll continue serving the Lord and  trusting God as He has everything already figured out. Thank you for praying for me and my family. You have been such a blessing and testimony to us.

I can't wait to share with you what God does in 2023!
